Top notch Ingrid Bergman. Only 4 actors in the whole thing - Max Von Sidow as usual- all on a rocky island in Swede land. It stands as a short story that with some nice directing turns into a story that has a more epic feel and makes you think of the larger picture of the characters lives than the 1 day the film covers. Little incest snuck in but deals with some issues of  sex and God and reality. Nice thinking movie and what you would expect from an old school Swedish foreign film in black and white. Classic.
