Doctor Who was a pretty solid show for 26 seasons when it suddenly lost its appeal and was canceled back in 1989, but it was brought back to life in 2005 and continues to entertain after six years. The show follows a man simply known as "The Doctor" as he travels through time and space in his time machine known as the Tardis, which is basically an old-school police call box. The Doctor is the last of a race known as The Time Lords and he now spends his never-ending life saving the galaxy and doing whatever he can to make it a better place. He has taken a keen interest in Earth and seems especially attracted to Earth women as he chooses one every so often to travel with him. The first season wasn't that great, but it formed a good starting point for the next few seasons. The show is pretty funny and entertaining. You get some time travel, aliens, cool weapons, interesting political commentary, and some pretty funny dialogue. At times The Doctor is a little too goofy and "slapsticky" unfortunately and the episodes are resolved and wrapped up too easily. I'd like to see some more serial stories and more developed conflicts. However, we are seeing some reoccuring enemies here and there. I am interested to see where this show ends up now that it is in its sixth season. It's definitely worth a look. And for the record, David Tennant is the best doctor thus far! (.90)
